FLOATS / DECORATED VEHICLES
GUIDELINE AND RULES 1. Inappropriate language (swearing, cat calling to other participants in the parade or to any of the observers of the parade) will not be tolerated and may result in immediate disqualification, and removed by the parade marshal.
3. Minors must have their parents
or guardian sign a waiver prior to any participation. 4. No child under the age of 8 years will be permitted in the parade
route unattended. Each child under the age of 8 years must be accompanied
by an adult (if there are nine children under the age of 8 years, there
must be nine adults accompanying them). 5. There must be one adult per 10 children between the ages of 8-17
years of age. 6. Banners are optional for any participants, and must not be higher
than 13 feet from ground level for safety reasons. 7. A narration, type written or clearly printed must, be provided with the application. This should consist of a brief narrative of 100 words or less describing your entry and its purpose in the community. Committee reserves the right to edit narration(s). 8. Applications, waivers and narrations must be submitted by March 30, 2008. 9. Be in the Coconut Plaza back
parking lot later that 8:00 am for your unit’s line-up order.
Stay together as a group; do not have individuals wandering. The parade
Marshal
or line-up
committee
will move you into
place. 10. ALL VEHICLES/FLOATS MUST BE DECORATED WITH 50% OF FLOWERS OR FOLIAGE, AND DESIGNED TO THE THEME OF THE PARADE. If your entry is not able to comply with the required design of the theme, please notify the committee with explanation. NOTE: Throwing of candies or any items , releasing of any type of balloons as well as soliciting in any form IS NOT PERMITTED and may be grounds for disqualification or will result in the loss of privileges of future participation.
